Dear GIS Families,
It is finally Arts Week at GIS! Our Music Matters Concert and Art Exhibition are this Thursday, May 21st!
The concert will be separated into two sections. The first section will begin promptly at 8:15am in the Multi-Purpose Hall with performances from students in KG1, KG2 and Grade 1. After their performances the KG1, KG2 and Grade 1 students will return to their classrooms. Following a brief intermission, the students in Grades 2, 3, 4 and 5 will perform their pieces beginning at 9:30am. Please remind students in Grades 3, 4 and 5 to bring their recorders on both Wednesday (rehearsal) and Thursday (concert). For the concert (Thursday), all students need to wear their black uniform bottoms, black shoes and a short-sleeved solid color shirt with no design (any color).
In addition, all GIS students, KG1 through Grade 8 will have artwork on display on the 2nd floor next to the Multipurpose Hall. The artwork will be on display from May 17th through May 21st, during the school’s Arts Week.
